OMG. I am broke.. My bank statement came two days ago but I'm scared to open the envelope to see what damage i've done and plus, i can feel that it's about 4+ pages thick! EEEEEEEK! You know what? I blame the bloody internet. Buying online is a fucking dangerous thing. When you can't actually see the money it's pretty easy to forget it ever happened... until, that is, when it arrives in the post like a nice little surprise! LOL. I love it. I also bought another Palty hairdye from ebay but I will blog about it next time as I'm using it tonight. Hope it will turn out ok... Anyway, the necklace and choker was purchased from CDJapan. I have to say, it took a helluva long time to arrive...my plan was to wear it to the Girugamesh concert last week! D'oh ......nevermind. The next purchase was totally not my fault. I would NOT have bought them if my sister had picked up her damn phone in the first place (to convince/remind me I don't need anymore shoes)!! I love the shape and it's a bit Gothic/Lolita-esque. Now, moving onto another internet buy which DID cost me quite a bit. This was from Maruione.jp but to be fair, the boots themselves were quite reasonably priced - it's the bloody custom charges you have to watch out for. This company sends items via EMS delivery only which isn't a bad thing as you'll receive the item(s) within 3-5 days. The only problem is when it reaches the UK, Parcel Force picks it up and charges you for their handling fee ontop of the customs charge. So in total i paid around £110 for these boots. But i love them anyway. (I wore it to the concert!) Make-up/cosmetics is my other weakness. Take me to any beauty store and you've lost me there for a good hour (armed with bags full of MAC products in the end!). I took the liberty of going down to Carnaby Street after work as they were doing a 20% off every shop one Thursday evening. I subscribe to MAC's updates and had received an email about this event weeks before...so I had time to think about what i 'needed' to stock up on. Foundation and concealer. Just two things. Walk in, grab one Studio Fix Foundation [C3] and Moisture Cover Concealer [NW20]. Pay for it, walk out of the shop. Easy. So on the day of the event i headed down to Carnaby Street to find myself staring at this: One-in-one-out only! I was so pissed off that i had walked all this way and my heart was set on spending on something! So I just thought fuck it, I'm going to buy my MAC stuff today and I'm going to buy it now! And off i trotted to Selfridges hahaha! Ok. So i admit, I have a slight problem with self-control. But to be fair, I DID get the two items I said i was going to...along with some other things I saw that i might 'need' too....... .. . . (Here's what i bought the week before when I was on a mission to Boots to a buy ONLY hair bleach): X MISSION FAILED X I have been wearing coloured lenses non-stop for a good four years now and I think I pretty much tried every colour Specsavers could ever offer me! My favourite colours are Grey, Green and Amethyst from the Freshlook ColourBlend range and I usually order them as a 6months batch. Under the direct debit scheme I pay £55 every three months (which covers contact solutions aswell). Since February I've been researching prices for coloured contact online because we all know buying over the net is always cheaper! And I am right. I've been trying to get hold of a brand called FreshKon, a very well-known brand in Asia, but there isn't an official site that delivers overseas. After hours and hours of Googling I landed on this amazing site called Color Lenses 4 Less. Even though they don't sell FreshKon lenses they do have a huge variety of colour contacts from a manufacturer called CIB. I'm currently wearing the 'Diamond Brown' contacts from this site. They claim it is a 'hyper size' lens at 14.50mm diameter meaning it will make my eyes look dramatically larger than normal, like a doll. It's only £18 (including delivery) and you can wear it for ONE YEAR! This is such a bargain!!! I'm going to cancel my direct debit with Specsavers after the final payment... i will be saving alot of money. ---> FreshLook Amethyst VS CIB Diamond Brown I visited the Freshlook website again and it states their contacts are measured at 14.5mm diameter too! So i'm a bit confused as to why the CIB ones appear larger. I can only imagine it's because the outer rim of the colour with the CIB lens is closer to the edge, whereas Freshlook gives more space between the the rim of the colour and the edge, but they both still meaure at 14.5mm diameter ? .. When I first put the CIB lenses on and looked into the mirror, I gave myslef a fright! LOL.. they were huuuge! I looked like a mix between something out of a Japanese horror movie like Ju-On (The Grudge) and an alien! But once the make-up was done it looked less noticeable, but still big. The first day of wearing it I was conscious people were staring at me... maybe my eyes are quite scary.. I asked my colleague if she noticed anything different but she just said I looked paler! Hahaha... bonus comment tbh but not the one I was after. When I did point out to her that my contact lenses were new she immediately gave a horrified lookng face.. Her reaction was pretty much the same with everyone else.. i guess they do look odd... but i like it. I ordered another grey and purple of the Diamond contacts and also the 'Shining' blue lenses... i really wanted this in green but they don't do these as prescripted lenses! NOT FAIR! |
